Orion vs. Mars B2

We would like to explain the differences and similarities between our Orion and Mars B2 cabinets. The Mars B2 and Orion are both Class 2 and 100% exhaust cabinets. This is acceptable under the American NSF 49 standards but not under the European EN12469 standards.

Both cabinets have a 200 mm front aperture and should always be ducted.

The B2 is similar in many ways to the standard Mars cabinet. The only difference is that the Mars cabinet is 70% recirculating and 30% exhaust, whereas the Mars B2 is 100% exhaust.

The Orion is also 100% exhaust, but is similar in design (but not the same) as the Mars Pro. It has a different safe filter change system than the Mars Pro. The filter in the Orion is changed from the front, whereas the filters in the Mars Pro are changed from the inside. The exhaust for the Orion is on the side at the bottom, whereas on the Mars Pro it is on the top like on the standard Mars. Orion is generally used like the Mars Pro when a safe filter change system is required.
